Copmanthorpe Carnival

This years Carnival is on Saturday 7th July from 12 noon at the Recreation Centre. For all the latest news, info, bands, etc: click hereCopmanthorpe Carnival was first held in the 1960’s and has always been extremely popular.  In recent years it has grown from a traditional village event into one that draws visitors from across the city  and outlying villages. Copmanthorpe Carnival boasts live music, children’s activities, fairground rides, stalls

and lots more. Once again Minster FM will be joining the carnival to present great local live music from the giant festival stage with a terrific range of top local bands, artists, dancers and much more.  This year the Carnival again hosts a terrific line up of top local music and unforgettable entertainment.This year the Carnival theme is “Emergency Services & NHS”. Copmanthorpe Recreation Centre’s large sports field will be packed full of stalls, fairground rides and games including bouncy castles, giant inflatable slides, a penalty shoot-out and much much more!Carnival Day will be the culmination of more than a week of events including a wine tasting, art exhibition, junior discos, and much more.

Once again Copmanthorpe Carnival’s Art Exhibition is being hosted at Copmanthorpe Methodist Church.

A huge day of fun, sports and live music!

Tickets (programmes) will be available from local shops and the Recreation Centre or door to door soon.  Just £5 in advance (up to Friday 6th July), and full price (£7) on the day.  Under 14s, accompanied by an adult, are free!  That’s a whole aftrenoon’s activities for a family of four for just £10
