VE Day Commemoration – Friday 8th May 2020

The Parish Council and Churches Together in Copmanthorpe are organising events to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of VE Day, the day that the guns fell silent at the end of the Second World War in Europe.

A Special Afternoon Tea for any residents over 75 years old and a Big Family Picnic, both on the Bank Holiday Friday (8th May), are part of the programme.

There will be a full itinerary in the April issue of the Village Newsletter and on this page but, for now, if residents who are 75 years old, or over, and who would like to join us for a free Afternoon Tea on Friday 8th May would let the organisers know it would be very helpful for planning catering. There will be no charge for the Afternoon Tea. Please use the ‘contact us’ link on the right or add your name to one of the lists at:
